Department of Biochemistry Admission Requirements

The entry requirements for admission to a B.Sc programme in Biochemistry shall be at credit-level passes in at least five (5) subjects at not more than two sittings including English language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics at SSCE/NECO examinations or its equivalent. Admission is based on an acceptable pass at either the UTME examinations or the pre-degree programmes of the university. However, the candidates from pre-degree programme must satisfy the minimum UTME pass level. Candidates with three good passes in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics/Physics at A level, and candidates with good passes in Biology and Chemistry at NCE level shall be admitted into a 3-year direct entry programme.
